Jacque's Block

I've just shown off the block within the group so I thought I'd show it off on my blog as well... I'm doing a round robin with the crazy quilting international group and this is the first block I've worked on. I got to start things off!

Simple elegance is what I thought when I saw this block and I hope I've been able to achieve that look with the stitching and embellishments I added to it.

leo gallant the bandit song : sertching for you !

An old flame of mine who sang at a little surprise party given to me on my Sweet 16th Birthday. I'd never before felt so special .... it's a day I've always vividly remembered.

I wish him all the best in his new endeavours. He's always been a great singer to me but then I'm a country girl who loves country music.

New to CQing Giveaway!

Ok, I've been Inspired by Nicki Lee's giveaway and decided to give away a Pine Glen Designs model which I stitched, created and finished myself :)

The scissors are not included however when I put it together it will come with some extra goodies inside that will be a surprise.

As it could take a little while for word to get around I will leave entries open until the 19th of May so that I can take it to the PO on the 21th, giving a couple days to hear back from the winner on their mailing address.

I like Nicki Lee's idea for added entries for further actions so I'll copy from what I remember.

  • 1 entry for commenting
  • 2 entries for having another person leave a comment (have them mention your name)
  • 3 entries for becoming a follower
  • 4 entries for posting on your blog about my giveaway and giving a link back
  • 5 entries for making a purchase at Pine Glen Designs (www.pineglendesigns.com)

Ok so I cheated and went back to Nicki's blog to remember it all but I did go with my wording.. LOL

I hope others like this item as much as I do and good luck everyone.

CQ Canadian Flag

Hi folks!

I recently was given was Canadian themed fabrics and had this crazy idea to use a cute little panel that was designed by Frishawn... my BFF. Here is what I came up with. I sewed it up this afternoon.

I used bigger pieces of fabric then I usually use for crazy quilting but think it turned out well.

Sewing Sprie!

I've been having lots of fun the past two days. I've been sewing to my hearts content even though my back is paying the price it is better today then it was yesterday and considering I've been down with a cold I'm not complaining because other then a little cough I feel much better!

I've been working on more fairy crazy quilt blocks and have managed to get 8 more completed! That gives me 9 with the FFT#13 block for the RR. I'll have 3 more to do up as I figure I'll need at least 12 total to make a quilt for my bed.

I'll take some time to complete I know but I'm enjoying watching each step. :)

Here are the 8 blocks I've completed:

May 4th PS.

I've made up my mind on this project! I've decided to make it a 9 block wallhanging and hang it at the head of my bed as I don't have a headboard. Then I'll be able to admire it daily. Once it's done that is. :)
